Wage Earners Welfare Board Membership Registration

Any expatriate working in Qatar who does not possess the BMET clearance card can apply for the Wage Earners Welfare Board Membership. The application is completed online. For online application, please visit www.wewb.gov.bd. The applicants need to do the following to complete the registration:

1. Submit the application online;
2. Print out the information page which will come after the successful online application;
3. Submit the printed information page to the Embassy of Bangladesh, Doha.

The applicants need to pay QR 170.00 for each membership application. Once the payment is made over the counter, the WEWB membership registration will be completed. The five benefits which the WEWB members are entitled to are as follows:

1. children of the WEWB members will get probashi quota during admission in different schools in Bangladesh;
2. children of the WEWB members can apply for scholarship;
3. Sick WEWB members will get financial help from the Wage Earners Welfare Board upon application;
4. WEWB members can apply for loan from Probashi Kallyan Bank on easier terms;
5. The legal heir of the deceased WEWB members will get BDT 3,00,000.00
